Workshops

I am excited to announce that I will be offering photography workshops again this winter and spring.  Teaching these classes is one of my favorite parts of my year.  It is always such a pleasure to watch others grow in their photography and start taking the photographs they have always wanted to take.  My passion for photography runs deep and sharing that deep love with my students is amazing.  There is nothing quite like watching another person find their photographic voice!

This year I am offering two courses through the Hollidaysburg YMCA.  I wanted to support a local club who is investing in the families and community here in Central Pennsylvania.  They offer a beautiful facility and numerous programs for families, artists and athletes.  As there are huge cut backs in the arts in our school systems and art offerings community wide, I am excited to team up with the Y to bring more art classes into our area!

Advanced Photography and Lightroom -

Spring/Summer 2012, TBA

To enroll in an advanced class, students must be comfortable with their camera.  No information covered in beginning or intermediate photography will be covered in this course.  We will be covering advanced photographic techniques and sharing in depth critiques of each others work.  In regards to Lightroom, I will be covering the ins and outs of the program and demonstrating its use.  In the last year, my complete workflow has moved from 99% Adobe Photoshop to 99% Adobe Lightroom.  I find Lightroom to be infinitely quicker and easier to handle photographs and their processing.  The most requested class has been one that shows how to process photographs, so here it is!

Students must have a digital camera, memory card, your camera’s manual, the USB cord for your camera and internet access at home/work.  No computers or access to Lightroom will be provided in the classroom or by the instructor.  Students may bring a laptop with the program to work along with the instructor if desired, but it is not neccessary to do so.

Additional Details -

All courses run based on minimum enrollment and are on a first come, first serve basis.  To date, all courses in the past have sold out.

Once registered, no refunds will be given.
